So I've been doing some looking around online for places to upload our GPS Tracks so I can provide a running log of what hikes we've done. I think it's safe to say that my search is done!
In the first episode of Hiking Research, I talked about the site everytrail.com which is a great site to post individual trip summaries including photos and I will continue to use it to post major trails that we take but it doesn't have an overview of every hike we have done on one map.
Introduce now, caltopo.com.
I can now upload all of the hikes we do onto one map so you can easily reference where we are where we hike. I'm going to link this to the blog under the "Hikes Tab" along with the listing of major hikes we go on.
Also, what's awesome about this site, is that at the top of the map where is says 'USGS 7.5' Topos', give that a click and you can change the map image to an assortment of different maps.
This way you can see some of the more minor hikes we do that I don't post about! I can't wait until this thing gets jam packed with trails!
Enjoy!
